Unable to Search - No Error Message

WXP Pro with SP2 and all updates.
Nothing happens when choosing search from the Start Menu or right clicking a
directory and choosing search. Why and how do I fix it?

There are a ton of previous posts on this subject. One example would
be:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm (and go to
"Search-doesn't work").
You can also simply Google in something like "search windows doesn't
work" (without the quotes!), and you'll come up with all kinds of valid
posts.

Thanks for the effort Terry but I still have the problem. The first place I
searched of course was on Microsoft's website and I've reviewed the articles
that describe the inf file and reinstalling it. It's the same thing that's on
Kelly's Korner that every website I found on Google referenced before I came
here to post. Basically, everyone says to reinstall the dlls triggered by the
inf file. It doesn't solve my problem.

Anyone else got an idea?
