Unable to save

Hi,
I am unable to save any documents.. I am using win98se and office 9
.. on an ibm thinkpad.. when i try to save a word document i get a
error message "Word does not have sufficient memory , DO you want t
the save the document as a rescued document " . I am not able to sav
Excel sheets too.. Please advise a workaround . this is urgent.. pleas
