recently relocated, but still using cable to access
internet. Was working fine, but then lost access. Reset
modem, did "ipconfig/release", and "ipconfig/renew", but
get error message, "unable to renew IP address". Tried
the repair option and get "unable to renew IP Address".
I've check DHCP, and it's status is "working".

System-WinXP Pro (NTFS)
NIC is build into docking station, status light blicking
more than usual. Checked connection status, and it's
receiving alot of data, but nothing going out.

Who's got the answer??

Call your ISP.

if you moved, do you still have the same ISP?
you may have different protocals if you have changed
providers, say from "comcast" to "insight"
Another common mistake that I used to mane was making
sure that I was releasing the proper adapter, not "PPP",
but make sure you are releasing your "...ethernet/adapter"
and I use "release all" "renew all"

If you used the reset button on the cable modem you may have set it back to factory defaults. It
may have to be reprogramed with ISP's address info.
