Unable to remove file from desktop

Hi everyone,

I recently created a file on my desktop to temporarily store some pictures i
transferred from my mobile phone via bluetooth.

Havinfg done what I wanted to do with them, I deleted the file. However,
every time I start my computer, the file re-appears.

I have deleted it from the desktop, only to find when I view the desktop via
windows explorer, the file is still showing. Having removed it this way too,
all seems to be ok, until the next time I start the computer, when it
re-appears.

whilst this is not causing any problems, it would appear to be an irritating
glitch. Can anybody shed any light on this or offer some advice?

Try this: create a new folder > drag the file to the new folder > then
delete the the new folder

Thanks for the advice. This didn't work. As soon as I move the folder to its
new location, it crops up again on the desktop. Thanks for your advice
though. Anyone else got an idea?

Delete the file, then create a folder of exactly the same name,
including the file extension. This will not only prevent the file
from being recreated but you might get an error message
that shows you what's causing your problem.

It's probably a folder (not a file) that you stored pics in, right? I
don't have an answer, but thought it might help to clarify if it's
actually a folder.
