unable to print column headings

I am using Msft Excel 2002 edition, Windows XP.

I have a worksheet that lists newspaper names & addresses, etc.
The headings above each vertical column are NAME, COMPANY, ADDRESS,
CITY, STATE, ZIP. These headings are in the very top line of the
worksheet and appear on the
screen.

However, they are lost in PRINT PREVIEW, and the pages that are
printed out.

All suggestions on how to get them printed welcomed!

Highlight the entire area you wish to print, including the
headers............then do........File > Print Area > Set Print
Area.........

Hi David: you have come to my rescue. I went to your website & found
the answer at the link you posted. Also, yesterday, another member
of this newsgroup directed me to your web site where I downloaded your
macro that enabled me to convert an entire column of text to upper
case.

Your website is full of good informative info. Much more than I am
able to obtain in MSFT EXCEL FOR DUMMIES book. Have you ever
considered having the contents of your website published as a book?

Again, 100,000 thank yous! Aaron

Hi Aaron,
To help you set up for both printing the column titles, and
for displaying them at the top when viewing the spreadsheet
see. http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/freeze.htm

For printing normally you print just the first row so
File, Page setup, Sheets, Rows to repeat at top: $1:$1
