Unable to Open your default e-mail folder

I have two new machines (XP PRO) to connect to SBS2003 server. When I
configure Outlook 2003 to connect to Exchange, I get error Unable to Open
your default e-mail folder. When I click OK, Outlook terminates. Have tried
removing and reinstalling Outlook profile numerous times.
Approx 30 other users are connected and working fine. Just these last two
machines will not connect. Any ideas?

Are you getting any events in the Event Viewer logs on both the workstation
and the server.

None that I can see. The only 'funny' looking thing is that my license
manager on the SBS2003 server says I have 35 installed licenses and max
useage of 3, although I have over 25 users signed on. I am pretty confident
that I exceeded my licenses early this week and added 5 yesterday.

If you drop a connected user and try one of the problem machines can they
log on and does the License information change

That does not change it at all. The new user cannot log in and the license
info seems to be 'stuck' at 3 users.

Is it the new user or the new computers, if the new computers there might be
some damage in some reg keys (trying to track the information down). Can you
try the new user on a working machine and perhaps see if OWA working.

It is the new machines. I can get to all e-mail from OWA and one new machine
is a replacement for a current user. Outlook works fine on the old machine,
but not the new. I just learned some info though that one user had her
profile go 'wacko' on Tuesday morning (supposedly lost all settings, desktop,
etc) and she cannot access her e-mail any longer either since then. Same
error message.

Are you running ISA Server and is there anything in those logs, do the new
computers have any firewalls switched on that you can temp turn off. If you
turn up logging on the Exchange does it report any events. Does it
immediately tell you that it cannot open default mail folders or is there a
delay while it goes off and thinks about it.
