Unable to open Word docs from My Docs...get pop-up message 'MS Word for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you were in the middle of something the info you were working on might be lost. Please tell MS about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send to help us improve MS Word for Windows, we will treat this report as confidential & anonymous...Send or Don't Send.'

I have deleted normal.dot files, and I have done a system restore, and I am still getting the above message. I can open Word docs by going through MS Works, History

Please let me know if you have a solution. Thank you

If you got Word as part of Works Suite and are using it freestanding (not
opening Word through the Works Task Launcher), then it is recommended that
you uninstall (Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs) the Microsoft Works
Suite Add-in for Word. That isn't guaranteed to solve the current problem,
but it will prevent a lot of others. See also
