unable to open one website, can open all others

Can't open www.classmates.com but can open every other site I have ever
tried. I don't believe it's secure and can't find anything in documentation
about it.

It's not on any blocked lists that I can find. IE won't even attempt to
access and I get the page cannot be displayed msg.

Check for a file named HOSTS with no extension (not Hosts.sam). It may be a
hidden file. Open it with Notepad and remove any line referencing the site.
Or, rename HOSTS to OLDHOSTS

Yep that was it. Was listed in the host file. I edited and wham, i'm in
like flynn. Thanks very much.

Please Help? I have a lot of CLASSMATES I Need to REPLY to. I tried about an
Hour ago & Classmates.com still DOUBLE CLICKS ?????

Assuming WinXP:
Start | Search | All files and folders
Click More Advanced Options and click Search hidden files and folders.
Enter hosts in the top box and click Search. You're interested in the one
with no extension. For WinXP it should be in
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
