Unable to Open Database (ACCESS 2002)

To whom can help,
I copy a MDB entire database from one PC to another PC.
Both have Windows 2k.
When I ran the MDB, I got an error due to the open
database security problem. The error number is "-2147467259
(80004005)"
The error message said "The database has been placed in
a state by user 'ADMIN' on machine 'JACK' that prevents it
from being opened or locked"
What should I do? Do I have to modify the SYSTEM.MDW
file. The original machine owner is 'ADMIN'. The new
machine owner is 'JACK'.
Thank you for your knowledge and time!
Jack

Actually this message has nothing to do with security. User 'Admin' refers
to the default Access user that is used by every session of Access where
security hasn't been implemented.

No, don't do anything to it.
The original machine owner is 'ADMIN'. The new
machine owner is 'JACK'.

It's an indication that the database may be corrupted. When you copied the
mdb did you also copy a ldb file?

Doesn't really matter...go to the folder on the JACK machine where the mdb
is. If you see a file with the same name, but an ldb extension, delete this
file.

Make a copy of the mdb file.

Try compacting your database using Jetcomp, available at
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=273956

If that fails, try creating a new database and importing objects from the
old.

If that fails, you can try www.pksolutions.com
