Unable to open Access 2003 database

When trying to open up an Access 2003 database, I get the following message:

"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

How can I reopen the database?

You don't provide much details about your situation. Are you the only one
person using this database or if they are other people using/opening it?
Did you close it properly the last time or if your machine BSOD? Is this a
split database or not?

If you're the only one person using this database at any single time,
deleting the .LDB locking file associated with it before trying to open it
again should correct the problem.

Also, this newsgroup is about ADP and SQL-Server and has nothing to do with
problems related to MDB database file or to JET.
