After upgrading a laptop from Win2000 to WInXP Pro I tried to log in
using my regular name, password and domain. But I just get a: "The
system cannot log you on due to the following error: The parameter is
incorrect. Please try again or consult your system administrator".

OK, I tried logging on as local administrator, but got the same msg!

I know the names and password are right, if I write a wrong password I
get the usual error message.

So what do I do? Without logging in I can't change anything :-(

But the password is OK. If I type wrong password I get a message about
that. It's when I type a right passwaord and login is about to happend that
I get the "incorrect parameter" message and login is aborted. Same for all
users. I can login as administrator in the recovery console. But that
doesn't help me alot since I don't what is causing the trouble (have tried
to diable all drivers and services not needed from the recoverty console,
but still the same message when logging in).
