Unable to log you on because the netlogon service is not running

I checked services and it IS indeed running

I reinstalled Service Pack1

What is my next step to reinable the netlogon service

I had the same problem. What was missing was the Client for Microsoft
Networks for the LAN connection. It's that simple.
