Unable to load windows XP except in VGA mode

Hi there.

Everything was working on my computer a few days ago. I booted it up
this morning and something is definately wrong with the display. Even
before windows starts up, I can see lines and such on my monitor. Once
it makes it to windows however, I end up getting a blank screen.

I haven't made any changes to my system but I've even tried re-
ghosting with no luck. I can boot up in VGA mode and things look fine
(as fine as they do in that resolution).

I'm assuming this sounds like something with my video card has gone
wrong? The only thing that confuses me is that VGA mode seems to work
correctly. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Perhaps you used msupdate and installed a video driver?
If so try rolling back the driver

Try downloading and installing the latest video driver for your PC from the
video card manufacture's web site.
