Unable to initialize Windows Defender

Whenever i start windows defender, they will give me an error message saying
Program unable to intialize 0x800106ba. It advised me to restart the com and
i restarted but the same problem occured.

you:

Diferent solutions for diferent OS/

When posting to this NewsgÑoup it is requested that you
at least provide us with details of the operating system
you are using including Service Pack level.

Also, could you supply some information on what your anti-virus, and other
Real Time Protection programs, etc?

I am recieving the same notice even when I boot up. Pleas can someone tell
us how to fix this? I have tried downloading windows defender but it says I
already have it since I have Vista. At the same time this happened I had
problems being able to play my BigFish games. I was able to fix that problem
but not my window defender problem. This is the only spyware program I am
running, please help soon.
