Unable to import or linke SQL Server 2000 Ojbect but works in Exce

I need an ODBC wizard for this one :)

Created a view (or table) in SQL 2000. I'm the datbase owner. In Excel can
create a pivot table to a view via Windows authentication - works great.
When i try and create in Access 2007 (also 2003) I can see the view, but
wizard fails with: "Jet database engine could not find the object ...." I
can see it in management Studio, or other aps, but link or import wizard fail
in access. Access CAN open other views that are owned by 'dbo' but any view
that i create / own will not work. This must be a bug because it works in
Excel, but I can't figure it out ....

Please help,

tx

If you need an ODBC wizard then maybe you should ask in a newsgroup about
ODBC like m.p.a.odbcclientsvr; as this own is about ADP and SQL-Server and
not about ODBC linked tables.

In your case, you might have a permission problem; so before posting to
another newsgroup, you may want to check the following point: 1- when you
try to create your ODBC linked tables, are you using the same user account
as the database owner? 2- do these new views and tables that you are not
able to link owned by dbo or by another account? 3- does this work if you
try with the sa account or a windows account that is part of the
administrators group?
