Unable to import newsgroup settings

I had a corrupted Windows XP user profile, so I went through the recovery
steps (create a new profile, copy the files from the old one to the new one,
etc.) and am almost back to normal. The only remaining issue is with
importing all my Outlook Expreses settings and folders. I backed up all my
..dbx files to a folder, and was able to re-import my mail folders, address
book, and messages. However, I am unable to do the same with newsgroup
files. I created a news account, but when I select File -> Import -> News
Account Settings, I get a message that says "No other newsgroup accounts
could be found". Why do I get this even when I have a newsgroup account set
up?
