Unable to get Cryptographic Services to re-start

I have been unable to install several critical updates; I
have traced the problem the Cryptographic Services not
running. I have read the KB article # 811263 and have
done tried the first and second solution with not
possitive results.

I have tried to manuall re-start cryptsvc and it still
does not start I get a message that reads "unable to
start Cryptographic Services on local computer, Error
193 : Oxc1

Short of repair re-installing WindowsXP home does anyone
have a possible solution for this problem.

Go into Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services and right-click the
entry in the listing. It should start from there. If you have further
issues with it, I would suggest you post to the windowsxp.general newsgroup.
