Unable to extract all files off of a CD

I get this message when attempting to extract files off of a CD:
Media status notification drive e:/: Read failure while accessing the media.
Here's the scenario:
Files are from a Sony Mavica MVC-CD300 (3Mpxl) camera and I'm unable to read
the 3" mini-CD [CD-R] on my laptop (Dell Latitude D600 with a writable CD/DVD
drive) and I also get the same error message via the USB 2 interface from the
camera to the laptop. I can see ONE file on the CD. but I can't see/access
the other files/pictures.
Is there a simple utility or way without using DriveSavers to extract some
family pictures off of a CD?

Try ISOBUSTER. It can read optical media with its own routines, thereby
avoiding the limitations of windows. It is both free and shareware. Most
read/recovery features are free.

Note that it pays to read the HELP, since ISOBUSER can read a CD several
ways, and some, but not all, may yield good results.

Hi Bob,
Your recommendation of the ISOBuster software is greatly appreciated.
That's a SUPER, GREAT and FANTASTIC program! It worked the first time. Am I
ever indebted to you. Do you need SuperBowl tickets? :)
If I ever get to your city, I owe you a steak dinner ... for two!
Thanks!!
Tom
