Unable to export all rows from a access query to excel

I have a Query in Access 2000 which returns about 20000 rows in the output.
Using an macro I am trying to export the output of this query to excel.

16383 rows is exported, after this the access throws an error message '
There are too many rows to output,based on the limitation specified by the
output format or by Microsoft Access'.

I tried to locate this problem using the help , but couldnt find any. My
questions are

1. Where can I find the Limitation specification?
2. How do I fix this Problem and prevent this from recurring ?
