Unable to E-mail documents/photos

When I attempt to E-mail documents/photos I get a pop up informing me that
'2007 Microsoft Office is Expired' and an error gong when I press 'send.'
This system was installed on my computer prior to purchase on a trial basis
and when it expired I could receive but not send E-mails.
A change to Windows mail has proved satisfactory with regard to sending,
receiving and even forwarding documents and photos but I am unable to
retrieve documents/photos from the printer or from my files and then send
them.
It seems that this function was carried out by the expired program as I did
not have this problem before it expired
How do I enable Windows Mail as the default program for sending
documents/photos from a file folder or Lexmark All-In-One printer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you fully uninstalled the trial version of Office 2007.

Next, go to Default Programs, which you can access either from the Start menu
or via the Control Panel, then click the first item: "Set your default programs."
After a few seconds a list of programs comes up. Click on Windows Mail.
If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults" then fix it by
clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
