I attempt to download from Adobe site, and windows pops up and says that Dr.
Watson defraggler has encountered a problem and needs to shutdown. Unable to
do anything after that. Thanks for your replies.

Since you just reinstalled Windows, did you remember to download and install
the .net framework from Microsoft? Many programs need this in order to
install and run.

I have .net framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 , 3.5 SP1. Still no luck. When I try
to download from website, either it doesn't respond or I get "Dr. Watson
Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close."

What are you trying to download? If Acrobat Reader, blow it off and get
Foxit Reader - free, fast, and it doesn't call home.

Used that for a while. Had some PDF files that were rendered badly by
it, so I dumped it and went back to Adobe.

I have not been able to find a definitive answer for this behavior other
than a malware infection. Since you claim to have just reinstalled Windows, I
conclude that you have done a repair install instead of a clean install,
which is why the malware infection still remains. Do you have another
partition on your drive, or a separate drive that you are using to backup
infected data, then returning that infected data to your reinstall?

Please explain EXACTLY how you have performed the Windows reinstall,
including Service Packs, drivers, applications, and data. You should not be
having this error on a clean install.
