unable to download emails using outlook xp

Hi,
I am very sorry if this proplem has already been posted,
but i looked for ages and could not find a solution.
I am a new user of Win2000 pro.
I am the administrator. i have set up a user account. i
have also installed and setup office xp.
The problem is on the administrator account and user
account it cannot connect to the server to download email
in outlook xp.
please help...
