Unable To Detect Internet Connection Error

Unable to update MSAS Definitions. Error message is "Warning. Could not
connect to the internet". Tried re-installing but same thing. How can I fix?

You might take a look at the MSAS Help files topic "release notes - known
issues"

Thanks for the response...."Work Off-line" is not checked in either program.
I'm using McAfee Firewall and have allowed Full Access to MSAS. I did notice
in the help section of MSAS that four programs related to MSAS should have
access I see only three. I tried re-installing but still same result.

Thanks dave...My issue is not listed there. I can still connect to the
Internet...MSAS is the only program that can't.

You might double check that the actual executables in \program
files\microsoft antispyware are named as the help reads. It isn't
impossible that it is wrong.

You might also try using MSCONFIG to disable McAfee, if possible for long
enough to verify whether this works without McAfee in the picture.

I'm quite sure this will be better in beta2, but it works for most people
now.
