unable to delete attachments in Outlook

The "remove" option is no longer available to use in deleting attachments
from received email messages. I was able to use this option but now there is
no way to delete attachments without deleting the entire message. I am using
Outlook 2007 with Vista.

Do you open (double click) the message before using the remove option?

It doesn't matter if I open the attachment or not, the remove function is
disabled. I was able to right click on the attament and choose Remove from
the pop up menu but now that function doesn't work, I can copy, save, select
all etc but not remove. Why would this option be there but not be able to be
clicked on anymore?

Don't open the attachment, open the message by double clicking on it,
that's what I suggested. After that you can right click and choose remove.

Hi there,

It still doesn't work for me. This is the kind of Outlook message which has
the attachment embedded in the email body.

I am able to delete attachments which come up the usual way

Any ideas ?

Thanks..

Cyclone fixed it. If you select Edit Messgae from under Other Actons it will
allow you to remove any embedded attachments, email or doc or whatever.

Hope this works for you too.
