Unable to connect wireless

Previous Environment: Laptop with Win98SE, D-Link 802.11b
card, Linksys Router, Novell network

Current Environment: Laptop with Win XP Home, D-Link
802.11b card, Linksys Router, Novell network.

Only change is the Windows XP Home. I cannot connect to
the wireless network. Signal strength shows very good to
excellent but unable to access email (Outlook/Outlook
Express) and the internet. Ping router does not work.

When I use the laptop at home, I have no problem
connecting to email or the internet.

Is this a setting issue? Is this a Novell issue? Is this
a WinXP Home issue - should I upgrade to XP Pro?

Please help?

This seems to be covered by KB# 828940. Unfortunetly,
getting the patch seems to be a bit harder than expected.
I have an OEM copy of the software from Dell, and their
offshore support has no clue as to what or why this is.
Anybody else have an idea how to get this?
