Hi,
when i try to remotely connect to my desktop (which uses win XP prof) with
my laptop (which uses XP home) i get the error response... "the client could
not connect to the remote computer. Remoted connetions might not be enabled
or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also
possible that network problems are preventing your connection. please try
connecting again later. If the problem continues contact your administrator."
I have tried conneting using my desktop's IP address but with no success.
Do you happen to have any suggestions. I would appreciate any help you could
provide.Thanks.

I configured the port forwarding on my router to TCP 3389. should i do
anything with port triggering? the website is very helpful but i'm still not
able to connect with my desktop PC. I have the remote desktop option checked
under my computer. but still no success. any suggestions on how to proceed
from here?

Did you work through the troubleshooting section on that page?

If you go to the http://www.canyouseeme.org site from the PC you want to
connect to does the test pass?

If your running NAV 2005 worm protection or MS OneCare Live Beta they need
to be configured to allow incoming Remote Desktop connections.
