Unable to "Compact and Repair"

One of my data base files is not allowing me to "Compact
and Repair". Whenever I try, I receive an error message
saying "Table 'TempMSysAccessObjects' already exists".
When I click OK, it returns to the data base but the
Compact and Repair did not take place. I cannot locate a
table with that name anywhere. Any ideas??

Under Tools, Options you can choose to show system or hidden objects.
What do you plan to do then?
Always make a backup before you try anything!!

I never delete anything I don't know the purpose of so you may want to try
renaming it to "TempMSysAccessObjects OLD" or something then try again.

When done, hide these again.

TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> VIEW TAB

Tick the View system objects tick box

It should now be displayed with the other tables
Hope this helps

You may need to try importing the MDB into a new MDB.
