Unable to Change Home Page

I can not get this virus or whatever this thing (which is detailed below)
out of my browser. Adware, Sypbot, CWS all fail to remove this. Everytime
I start my browser, this hijack 'bug' comes back to some search page. What
is this thing?

Is there an easy way to do this as I am a layman when it comes to the
registry etc...?

I had Mr. SearchAssistant on my puter a few months back.. If I remember correctly, I went to Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, then highlighted it and removed it, but it returned.. Ad-aware was what finally exfixiated I think.. Go to LavaSoft.com. Download and run Adaware 6 . When it is finished click Next, then select All Items and remove. I found that running Adaware weekly seems to keep my puter pest free..
