the "sort by name" command is not listed on the flyout menu, therefore i am
unable to alphabetize my favorites. How do i resolve this problem ? I use IE.
Use the menu option Favorites and when a favorite flies out,
rightclick on it and select "Sort by name"
Don't use the Favorites panel. It must be the menu option or you may
also do it from Start-Favorites
Open Internet Explorer and click on FAVORITES so that the pull-down list
extends. With your cursor anywhere on the list, right-click to extend
drop-down menu and then left-click on “Sort by Name.†All your
favorites, including those in folders, will be sorted alphabetically.
My experience has been that you have to go into each folder (within
favorites) and sort it separately. I just checked again to be sure and that
seems to be true. Perhaps I have some option checked or unchecked that
prevents sorting within folders when you you sort the main list of favs?
Problem solved ! Thank you for clearing up which "menu option" I had to click
on. Was cliicking on the wrong one all this time ! You guys are great !
