Unable to access protected folders on Buffalo Linkstation

There appears to be a compatability issue between Vista (beta2) and the
Buffalo Linkstation. Protected folders on the Buffalo Linkstation cannot be
accessed - the usual username/password prompt appears, but this is rejected -
"network resource not available..." etc. Unrestricted folders on the
linkstation are accessible.

Any advice

Would it be possible to get network capture for the failed operations ?
Please use netmon or ethereal to get the capture and send it out to me

There was one interop issue caused by a bug in the linux NAS box, it could
be a manifestation of the same issue. A capture would be helpful in
diagonizing further.

Unfortunately I am using 64 bit version - and ethereal does not support
[winpcap not suported yet]. Also I may not have the knowledge to use it even
if I could get it to run !

Sirdaz - and you get a capture ?

What I was able to connect to a protected share if I entered my user name as
USERNAME@linkstaion name

Also disable Internet protocol Version 6

I too have been having the same problem.

Workaround that seems to work...

Disable TCP/IP verson 6

Username for Linkstation should follow this format

username@linkstation name

Good luck

Disable IP version 6

use the the following format when prompted for the Username
