This is normal behaviour when browsing computers on a network.

Even if it's "normal", it's silly. Why would you want everyone on the network to have the ability to muck with your scheduled tasks? And what does sharing files have to do with sharing your peripherals?

Is there any way to turn this off?

here u go...

To remove scheduled tasks and printers from shared folder isn't relly

necessary to delete anything at all in the registry

Start regedit and go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr

entVersion\Explorer\RemoteComputer\NameSpace

Right click on "{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}" (wich is the

scheduled task)

and and select "permissions".

Then select the users wich shouldn't have acces to it, and select

"advanced" .

Now all you have to do is select the options as you wish.. (denny or

allow) to change the acces to this file.

If u are not confident on what u are doing...export reg key first. And

create an "System restore" point.

That's all.

Best regards.
