un-remembering password in with Netscape as my server.

I saw a posting for un-remembering password in explorer and wondered how to
do it using netscape. is there a way to erase just one password prompt?

Are you referring to the password or the prompt for the password ?
To delete passwords in Netscape click Edit, Preferences
Click the plus sign next to Privacy & Security
Click the Mangage Stored Passwords button

You can then click the Show Passwords button and choose which one to
Remove. OR, just choose the site and then click Remove
