'Un'-partition a drive?

Hi,

We have an old drive that was installed with the OS on partition 'C' and
data files on partition 'D'. We've since installed two new drives and would
like to free up the space on 'D' so that 'C' can use the entire drive for
the OS.

I thought about formatting the 'D' drive after removing the necessary files
but then got stuck in the process of what comes next? Is fdisk the answer?
Or is it a backup/format/re-install day ahead of me?

Thanks!

Wil - A 3rd party utility can simply remove the old D: and enlarge the
existing C: to full drive capacity nondestructively. Your current OS in
its entirety is unchanged, booting & running as before with all settings
intact. One such utility is PartitionMagic, at

Thanks Lee. I guess I was *hoping* to get away with using some sort of
Windows utility and not having to purchase yet another software package.
Sounds like this is the way to go though. Thanks again!

Thanks for the input! Sounds like this is a snap, which is what I was
looking for.
