uLead photo express v2 driver

I am new to digital software so forgive the basic questions. I have lots of photos stored on my hard drive (from a previouly installed programme). I have just purchased uLead photo express software in the hope that it would allow me to firstly retreive the photos from the hard drive and edit them and secondly to transfer the photos from my camera to the pc and then edit them. I have been thwarted in both operations. I am advised on the pc that I need to install a TWAIN DRIVE. What is this and from where can I obtain such an item. The people who sold me the uLead CD software are not interested and will be receiving appropriate feedback. Is there anyone out there who can spare a few minutes to help? Many thanks, De

I'm not familiar with Ulead but one of
the following freebies might be useful:

Picasa
http://www.picasa.com/picasa/

FastStone Image Viewer

Check your camera's manual for instructions
on installing any necessary software.

Personally, I prefer using a USB Card Reader.
It will show up as a drive and you just copy
the images to a folder on your hard drive
just like you would from a floppy.

I totally agree with John,
The software often provided with digital cameras is seldom as easy to use or
as good as the normal digital provision of Windows and other free graphics
programs. Added to which they seem to want to take over your whole computer
and force you to do things their way.
The free program FastStone will do almost everything you would want.
If you can afford to pay a small fee, then Compupic is IMHO a slightly
better program. You can try it out for free at,

The windowsXP photo wizard does most printing jobs anyway. But you need to
take a little time to teach yourself how to use these things :)

Quilly,

Have a look at the new Anti-Spyware program CounterSpy
I recommend it, it worked for me at,
