UK Postcode Input Mask

In the UK, postcodes can be written as follows:-

L9 9DJ
L61 7DP
LL32 9QT

Just wondering if anybody can suggest a good input mask for this? I am using
L?09?\ 0>LL, however this creates too many visible spaces in the 5-digit
one.

I don't believe it can be done with an input mask, but someone posted code
to validate UK postcodes in comp.databases.ms-access some years ago. A
search of the google archives (www.google.com/groups) should turn it up.
