typing an apostrophe causes OL to insert a tab in message

A co-worker of mine has this issue: Using OL 2007, when entering text in the
Message form, placing an apostrophe seems to insert a tab after the
apostrophe so there is a large gap between the apostrophe and the next
letter. He went to Word 2007 to see if it was a problem with the Word editor
but it works properly there.

I have no such issue. The only difference I can see is that I use Calibri
as my default font and he uses Sans Serif. I have looked on the web, but
have not come across any fixes.

does he have autocorrect set up to do that? could it be a bullet point, not
an apostrophe and tab? if so, look for shortcut keys set up to insert
bullets.

Diane,

I checked his autocorrect and nothing is set up to do that. I tried typing
as well, and it is not a bullet. It is definitely an apostrophe.
