.txt Files always open minimized

My .txt files always open minimized no matter where I execute them from. Then
I have to dig around my task bar(which always pops up and covers the tiny
little sliver of the top of the notepad file). Anyone know why this happens?

Yes, I would try resetting the folder veiw option but I have so many
customized folder icons I really don't want to lose. I didn't see a setting
though for .txt files.
I always close them maximized but they always open minimized. I'm going to
try to see if I can change the settings on notepad.exe....Thanks, Eric
