two processors showing in hardware table in a single processor machine

I have a xp professional machine running on an intel motherboard and intel 2.8 pentium 4 that shows dual entries in several fields of the hardware configuration page. Machine seems to be running fine but windows is reporting i have two identical processors two primary and secondary ide controllers.

has anyone ever seen this error before?
