Two Problem Errors in outlook

I'm getting two errors when I go to detach an attachment to my desktop. I'm
running Office 2000 with Widows XP. I'm saving to a *.pst file and we are
using POP3 at this client location.

Here are the two errors:

1) The document name or path is not valid. try thse suggestions. "Check the
file permissions for the document or dive"

2) The document is corrupt and cannot be opened. To try and repair ot, use
the Open and Repair command in the Open dialog (File Menu) and select
Extract Data when prompted.

Could this be a corruption in the *.pst file or could this be corruption in
Outlook? Not sure on what to do?

Thanks In Advanced.

I am also getting the corrupt message when opening
attachments. There is one way around it. Before you open
the document, right-click and click on View Attachments.
The document should open that way. The key is to right-
click BEFORE opening the message. I still would like to
know why the attachments will not open when double-
clicking after the message is open.
