Two Inboxes in Outlook 2000

Something weird happened recently and as a result I now have two complete
sets of folders containing calendar, contacts, inbox, etc. One set is under
"Archive Folders" and the other set is under "Personal Folders".

All of the desired folders (calendar, contacts, inbox, personal folders,
etc.) are under "Personal Folders", but all of my incoming mail arrives in
the undesired inbox under "Archive Folders". I've tried to close the
Archive folder set but a message tells me I can not do that.

Does anyone know how to get rid of the undesired set of folders? I just
re-installed Outlook but it was no help.

Thanks,
Jerry

Somehow you have set the Archive.pst file as your default. To make Personal
Folders your default, right-click its root folder in the Folder List, choose
Properties, then check the box for "Deliver POP mail to this personal folders
file". You may have to close and restart Outlook for the change to take
affect. Once that's done, you can close the Archive file by right-clicking
its root folder and clicking Close. (Make sure you've moved or copied all
the e-mail to your Personal Folders inbox before you close the Archive file.)
