About two weeks ago, I upgraded Windows 98 to Windows XP
Pro. I tried to uninstall old version of TweakUI installed
while running Win98. It did not show up on the list in the
Add & Remove Programs in Control Panel. I did a search and
deleated all tweakui files. Then installed TweakUI for
Windows XP. Now when I shutdown and restart, I get the
following message: ERROR LOADING TWEAKUI.CPL THIS
SPECIFIED MODULE COULD NOT BE FOUND.
I ran msconfig and found on the Setup Tab the following
COMMAND line: RUNDLL32.EXE TWEAKUI.CPL, TweakMeUp at the
LOCATION: HKLM\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT
VERSION\RUN. I looked at this location in the Registry,
there was no key or value. When I unchecked this item and
rebooted, there was no error message. Can this be deleted
from the "Start Up" so I can use "Normal Startup" instead
of "Selective Startup"?
