Tweak UI not working in Win XP Pro SP2

I installed Tweak UI from Autopatcher XP with Dec 2006 update............
However when i dbl click it, error msg "admin has disabled Tweak UI"

Since my comp is not connected to any sort of network, admin is the only
account i use...

i fiddled with gpedit, the registry and even the services, but there is
nothing to suggest whether tweak ui is enabled or disabled...............

See this, it applies to TweakUI...

Error "Registry Editing has been disabled by your administrator"

Why on earth would you get Microsoft Windows Updates from some third party
source?

Why on earth would you get TweakUI from Autopatcher when it is available for
FREE from Microsoft?

You can download TweakUI here...

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

Tweak UI
This PowerToy gives you access to system settings that are not
exposed in the Windows XP default user interface, including
mouse settings, Explorer settings, taskbar settings, and more.

Version 2.10 requires Windows XP Service Pack 1 or above or Windows
Server 2003.

Scroll down the right hand side and look for...
Tweak UI
TweakUI.exe

TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe is what you get.

If you have Windows XP without any Service Packs, download Version 2.00.

Autopatcher comes with all the windows updates, detects which are installed
on ur system and installs those that aren't. Its almost a 400mb file, and
pretty popular now if u dont want the headache of downloading everything
seperately.

Maybe you should try it out. And the 'disable registry' setting is switched
off on my system (how else could i be fiddling with the registry). I edit the
registry to my heart's content but ..................... tweakui dont work :(

Microsoft Update also "detects which [updates] are installed on ur
system and installs those that aren't." With Microsoft Update there is
never a need to 'download everything separately'.

I personally would never accept an update to Windows from anyone other
than Microsoft.

Ok, i think we are missing the point here......
I uninstalled TweakUI, downloaded it form Microsoft's own site and again
installed it. And the 'mighty Microsoft' thing still doesnt work, same error
message. Any ideas (and lets drop the autopatcher xp part, dont like it, dont
use it).....

but do check out www.autopatcher.com
you just might like what those people are doing
