TWAIN drivers/files? for scanner

Howdy,
Whenever I try to use my Canon scanner (N1240U) I get a
message that it cannot find the TWAIN drivers.

I just had to do a total re-install of XP Pro (I
uninstalled Office XP Pro - I am going to use
OpenOffice.org1.0.3 - but the Office Xp UN-installation
screwed Everything Up) and now after the re-instal of XP I
have the problem with TWAIN.

I never had to do anything with TWAIN when I had the
scanner installed before.

I couldn't really find much about it at the canon site
(altho I might have missed it) any ideas would be
appreciated.

I recently reinstalled (restored) XP home. I have a
Canoscan N67OU. I tried plug-n-play as when I first got
my computer, but had twain problems.

I believe I solved it by simply using the installation
disc that came with my scanner and installed the twain
driver that way.... or.....

if that doesn't work, try going to windows update page
and click on "scan your pc" for updates. It'll let you
know if there are updated drivers available. Just make
sure your scanner is plugged in when you do this.

I forget which one of these worked for me... I wish I
could be more sure.
