Hi All

I have a TUV4X motherboard and I wanted to do a upgrade so I purchased a
used 1.4ghz Celeron CPU off eBay. The the machine seems to run fine with the
original 733 Pentium III Cpu but when reboot with the faster CPU the machine
starts I don't get any beeps and I get nothing at all on the monitor (not
even the BIOS). I have installed the 1005 BIOS and still nothing. Any ideas?

Have you looked up the part number here ?

It would be a good idea to verify exactly what you bought.
There should be a part number on top of the processor somewhere.

1006beta2 is latest BIOS. Are jumpers or switches set for a 133MHz FSB still
(the Celeron uses a 100MHz bus, while your P3 uses a 133MHz bus)?
Did you check the new CPU for missing pins etc?

The fastest Celeron processor that my TUV4x will accommodate is a 1300 which I am currently running
