Turn off Outlook Address book message

I keep getting messages saying that Outlook will download a full version of
our company's address book, do I want to proceed?

Being that it has over 10K names, I surely don't! Is there somewhere I can
turn off this function? I get asked several times per day.

Choose Tools | Send/Receive | Send/Receive Settings | Define Send/Receive Groups and bring up the settings for All Accounts. You'll see the Address Book Settings button there to control how much of the address book is downloaded. A full download may be occasionally necessary if a lot of changes have been made since the last download, but you can get "no details" instead of "full details."

Sue, I have never downloaded the address book, and I never want to. I just
want it to stop asking me and stop trying to download it.

Are you working in Cached Exchange mode? Always connected to the mail server?

In the Send/Receive Settings dialog I suggested, did you clear the "Download Offline Address Book" box? Or was it already unchecked?
