Turn off Automatic email download

Maddog

Good Day,

I just set up my Windows Mail account (I needed to send an email from a web
page). When I set up the pop incomming and outgoing servers (verizon.net)
the Windows Mail app automatically downloaded (read moved) all my email from
the verizon servers to the local desktop. Now I can't view my mail on the
internet!!!! :-(

Two questions:

1. How do I turn it off so the windows mail app only gets a copy of the
email from teh verizon servers (leaves the mail on the pop server... not
download it).

2. How do I get the messages it's already downloaded back up there so I can
access them on the web again?

Thanks much for the help and advice.

1) Tools>accounts>select account>properties>advanced tab.

2) The only way is to forward them back to yourself, but that will change
the dates etc
