TS, Windows XP Home and Citrix

Looking to see if I can get some clarification here.

Our business has a Citrix server running on Windows 2000 Server. Configured
to "Per Seat" for licencing. Should Clients running Windows XP Home be able
to connect to this server? I know that XP home does not have "CAL" included.
I have double checked to make sure that we have licences available on the
server and we do. Are these licences held for a period of time before they
are released? Is this why the XP home users cannot make a connection?

Thanks for any response.

1. "Per Seat" licensing has to do with how you have licensed the
OS. Means that you have a server CAL for every device which
connects (and a connection is needed for authentication, TS, file
and print services, etc.) Can be managed in Control Panel -
Licensing applet. Has nothing to do with Terminal Services
Licensing.

2. XP Home clients must have a purchased TS CAL to connect to a TS.
Check in the TS Licensing Manager. Do you have enough licenses
available? If yes, check the EventLog on the TS to see why it
doesn't issue these licenses to the XP Home clients. Can the TS
locate the TS Licensing Server? Have the clients been able to
connect before? Can no client connect, or only some? Exactly what
error message do they get?
