Trying to update a Paradox Table Via Access 2000

Keith Leslein

Hello All,

Hopefully this is in the right forum. Hopefully what I am trying to do
is fairly simple. My employer has two simple Customer Paradox tables
that have a field that needs to be updated. My only tool to use is
Access 2000. I can link the tables easy enough however running the
update query is the problem. i am fairly new to working with Paradox
tables in the Access environment, is it possible to acutally edit data
in a linked paradox table via Access2K query builder?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks,

Keith Leslein

I think I may have found a work around to the issue by importing the
table into Access2000, perfroming the necessary adjustments and
exporting the table back out as a Paradox file.

Don't know about Paradox tables, but

If you have linked to the tables, can you open the table directly and make
changes directly? If so, then you should be able to use an update query to
make changes. If not, then you won't be able to use an update table to make
changes. You might have to go with your workaround.
