Trying to stop automatic restart after BSOD

Windows XP Pro SP2: I'm getting a BSOD at the tail end of any attempt to
install any software product that uses an MSI-based installer. The immediate
problem however is that the BSOD flashes for just a split second, then the
machine restarts automatically so I can't capture the error info. I've
turned off Automatically Restart under System Failure in the Startup and
Recovery settings, but the system still restarts automatically anyway. Does
anybody know another way to stop the machine from automatically restarting
after a BSOD?

Look in the Event Log for errors logged when the BSOD occurs.

Go in the System Properties | Advanced | Startup and Recovery and change
the option to have the computer Automatically restart on system failure,
configure it to halt on the BSOD then post the contents of the BSOD to
your next post.

Thanks for your response. Not to be too dense about it, but how do you
configure it to halt on BSOD? That's what I've been trying to figure out.
