trying to make a scheduled backup

J

When I installed Xp Pro. I made one user, me. If I check switch login
there is only my name.

I tried to set up windows backup to run on schedule, but I get the error
" The scheduled task did not run because no user account password was
entered."

Since Im the only one here at home why do I need a user password, I just
hit enter when it asked when I set up XP.

Readingthe help file on it is like reading a legal paper. I just want a
fregging backup.

Can someone Please tell me how can I get the stinking scheduler to make
a backup.

I could do it with a freeware backup program with scheduler, which is
probley easier.

thank you

It's highly advisable to set a password for your user account. Then
reconfigure the Task accordingly.

This log file for Scheduled Tasks is stored in the Windows folder, where it
is used to record the activity of scheduled tasks. You can use the log file
to determine why a task might have stopped, or to check on the status of a
task.

You can configure XP to automatic logon to your user account. See the last
